Hopper/Silo Weighing System

Hopper scales or hopper/silo weighing systems is used for weighing a continuous flow of product. Hoppers play an important role in harsh environments such as ready-mix concrete, food-processing plants etc. Hopper/Silo weighing systems typically includes a hopper/silo(container)which is generally used to process solid materials in the form of powders and combined with load cells in the hopper scales. Hopper scales are most commonly are used to dispense or collect materials that are later used later for processing, and hopper weighing systems is a very important part of this process. By installing a silo, tank, hopper or bunker on top of load cells, the weight of the contents can be determined (in kilograms or tones) with high accuracy and easily can be passed to external data systems.
